Wednesday, September 1
The Dover-Foxcroft Historical will meet at 7 pm. The meeting will be held at the Gerrish Meeting Room at Thayer Parkway off Park St. The subject of the meeting will be an update on the Central Hall project and a showing of the new DVD “Memories of Central Hall with Lou Stevens.” The public is invited to attend and bring some memories of Central Hall to share as well

37th Annual International Seaplane Fly-In, Float Plane competitions, educational exhibits, the Moosehead Lake Region’s largest craft fair, lots of food and much more. Land and float plane pilots from all over the country and world fly to our waters to enjoy this yearly tradition at Moosehead. The first Abbot Green Bridge 5K run/walk is planned. Participants may register at the Abbot Town Hall from 8 am to 9:30 am on that day. All proceeds from the event will benefit the new Abbot Veterans’ Honor Roll this year. FMI call the Town Office at 876-3340

Appalacian Mountain Club Lily Bay Camping Weekend, Greenville. Lily Bay State Park camping in group area. Hiking, biking, kayaking. Leaders encouraged to join. Greenville Recreation Halloween parade and party. Line up at the Katahdin Parking Lot at 12:45 pm. The party will start at the school as soon as the parade arrives. Games, food and a social event. FMI contact Andrea at 280-0142
